Xbox Games with Gold: February 2019

Our monthly free games are available now to welcome us to February of 2019. The friendly Major Nelson over at Xbox has provided us a look at the list of Games with Gold.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon (Feb 1st - 28th)

Heavily influenced by the 2D side-scrollers of the 1980s, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is about a group of four characters storming a castle and destroying the demons inside. Each character is playable from the moment you begin playing. Play as Zangetsu, a swordsman, Miriam the more agile, long-range attacker, Alfred the alchemist, and Gebel who can transform into a bat to sore through stages. Depending on character interactions, the game will have different endings.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon originated as a Kickstarter project in 2015 and released in May of 2018.

Super Bomberman R (Feb 16th - Mar 15th)

Our bomber buddy is coming home with us on Feb 16th. Super Bomberman R brings back some of our favorite explosions with a few extra game modes. Story mode can be completed solo or through local Co-op to take down the Evil Emperor Buggler. The classic Battle mode will have us blowing up our friends in the arena. You can play with up to 8 people locally or online. Finally, team up with your friends in the competitive Grand Prix. This tournament style game mode will prove who is the true Bomberman.

The game’s release on Xbox One will also feature a new Master Chief Bomber named SPARTAN-II Supersoldier. Super Bomberman R was initially released in June 2018.

Assassin's Creed Rogue (Source: Ubisoft.com)

Assassin’s Creed Rogue (Feb 1st - 15th)

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series has been going strong for years now, but most of us missed this one. Assassin’s Creed Rogue stars Shay Patrick Cormac an Assassin turned Assassin Hunter, the first of the series to have you take control of a villain to the secret society.

Shay’s journey takes place during the events of the French and Indian War in the city of New York. You take control of the Assassin Hunter to put an end to his one-time brotherhood. Assassin’s Creed Rogue first launched on Xbox 360 in Nov 2014.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy Gameplay (Source: Starwars.com)

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (Feb 16th - 28th)

Another game from Xbox past, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is an action-adventure title from Raven Software. Originally released on the first Xbox in November of 2003, you take the role of Jaden Korr a young Jedi in training. During your time in practice, you develop a rivalry with another student named, Rosh, who becomes enthralled with the power of the Force. The decisions you make in dealing with your rival will affect the ending of the story.

Games with Gold on the Xbox One offers a solid game line up for February. With two titles being a part of long-running stories, there is a lot to sink your teeth into.
