Production I.G New President, CEO George Wada

George Wada, the studio's current executive vice-president, will be elevated to president and CEO, according to a statement released on Saturday by Production I.G. Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, the studio's current president and CEO take on the role of chairman of the board.
After the company's upcoming shareholders' meeting on August 30 officially approves the modification, the change will go into effect. After graduating from college, Ishikawa worked for Tatsunoko Productions until establishing Production I.G alongside Takayuki Goto in December 1987. In 1993, the business changed its name to Production I.G. Ishikawa also holds the positions of president and chief executive officer of IG Port, the organization that houses the animation companies Production I.G., Wit Studio, and Signal.MD, and publisher Mag Garden. After the switch, Ishikawa will stay in that position.
In 2005, Wada joined Production I.G, and in 2012, he was named president of Wit Studio. In June 2020, he was promoted to executive vice-president of Production I.G. Wada has continued to serve as president of Wit Studio while also serving as executive vice-president of Production I.G, and he will continue to do so after the new Production I.G post is established in August.
