One Punch Man 2 Is Dropping In April
After seemingly endless delays, the second season of One Punch Man finally has an official release date - April, 2019. This 12-episode parody anime about a bored superhero who can defeat anyone with a single punch, is one of the most popular anime to come out of 2015.

A key visual, as well as a trailer, have been released. So far, not much is known about the new season, but here's a quick peek at what is known. Garou, a hero-hating villain from ONE's original web manga, will appear as a major villain. Garou will be voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa, a voice actor best known for playing Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing, and Lancer from Fate/Zero. Well-known characters from the first season like Speed O' Sound Sonic and Genos will be showing up as well.
Also, the second season will be animated by J.C. Staff, not Madhouse like the previous season. J.C. Staff has produced a number of acclaimed anime, including Food Wars, Toradora!, Excel Saga, and more. It will be interesting to see how different studio approaches the material.
It's not clear yet whether the new season will be simulcast outside of Japan, but with Viz Media tweeting about the release, there's a high chance that Western viewers will be able to see Saitama in action soon.
