The gaming giant has given us one of their Nintendo Direct showcased today and had a lot to talk about. There was plenty of game announcements, but also they had a few smaller things to clarify. Here is everything you need to know about their Nintendo Direct for February 13th.
Super Mario Maker 2
The sequel to the beloved stage creator, Mario Maker 2 will launch in June 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
Coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch in the summer, Marvel Ultimate Alliance will allow players to play in 2 player co-op with one console and 4 player co-op online. You can even connect four consoles in local wireless co-op.
BOX BOY! + BOX GIRL!
A puzzle game that wants you to think outside of boxes will relaunch on the Nintendo Switch console on April 26. Box Boy + Box Girl contains 270 stages and 2 player co-op. They have also added extra content featuring Qupy the tall box.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Smash will be receiving an update in Spring 2019. They did not go into full details of what the update will include just yet, but they did say that Joker will be coming before April.
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Captain Toad has a free update available today that will make most stages playable in 2 player co-op. The game will also have a paid DLC pack available for purchase today with 18 challenges and 5 new stages. All of the content will be playable on March 14th.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Another spiritual successor to Castlevania is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2019.
Dragon Quest Builder 2
The sequel game will have local co-op building with exclusive content for players of the first game. Dragon Quest Builder 2 is coming on July 12th.
Dragon Quest XI S
A retelling of the 2017 Dragon Quest XI is coming to Nintendo Switch with new 16-bit content. Expect the game to release on July 12th.
Disney Tsum Tsum Festival
This 4 player party game will contain mini-games for the entire family. All of the beloved Tsum Tsum Disney characters will be included, and you can even play competitively online. Disney Tsum Tsum Festival is expected later this year.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Coming in April 2019, Starlink: Battle for Atlas will give players a new update featuring our favorite pilots from the Star Fox Series. Take flight with Falco, Peppy, and Slippy to take down the evil Wolf.
Rune Factory 4 Special and Rune Factory 5
A special edition of the farming and dungeon battling game Rune Factory 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. They also confirmed that Rune Factory 5 is in development now.
Oninaki
From Square Enix comes a new JRPG named Oninaki. Collect lost souls and use them to protect life after death. Oninaki is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer.
Yoshi’s Crafted World
Run through stages and battle giant crafted enemies in Yoshi’s Crafted World. Collect specific items to build costumes to protect Yoshi while he explores the crafted world. Yoshi’s Crafted World comes to Nintendo Switch on March 29th with a demo available today.
Fire Emblem Three Houses
The Fire Emblem series is back with Three Houses. You have become a professor to the world’s leading training school, and it is up to you to teach your students to be the best soldiers they can be. Protect the three kingdoms by training your students and executing a brilliant strategy to take down your foes. Expect the game on Nintendo Switch on July 26.
Tetris 99
It is about time we had a battle royal puzzle game. Tetris 99 will have you battling 99 other players in competitive Tetris online. Send traps to the other players to come out on top. A Nintendo online subscription will be required for this game. Tetris 99 is free for everyone today.
Dead By Daylight
The horror game is coming to Nintendo Switch in fall 2019.
Deltarune Chapter 1
From the creators of Undertale comes a new game, Deltarune. Chapter 1 will be available for free to everyone on February 28th.
Daemon X Machina
A new mech fighter is coming to the Nintendo Switch this summer, but you can play the game’s demo today. It features four missions and one boss battle.
Grid Autosport
The racing game Grid is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer. Grid Autosport will contain all DLC and 2 player split-screen.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
An action-adventure game by the team at Ninja Theory is coming to the Nintendo Switch this spring.
Mortal Kombat 11
The bloody fighting title is coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 23rd.
Unravel Two
Initially released in June of 2018, Unravel 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch with all of its co-op gameplay on March 22nd.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
A revamped version of Assassin’s Creed III is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 21st with all of the game’s DLC included.
Final Fantasy 7
The seventh entry to one of the greatest RPG franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 26th.
Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy
The dungeon crawler game featuring your favorite birds are coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20th.
Final Fantasy 9
Another great title from Square Enix, Final Fantasy 9 is available now on your Nintendo Switch Console.
Astral Chain
This brand new action game from Platinum Games features two police officers battling with robotic partners. Not much more information was given just yet, but the game is expected to launch on August 30th.
Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
A beautiful retelling of one of the most iconic Zelda stories, Link’s Awakening will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. The trailer shown above shows the gorgeous 3D sprites and the overhead 2D gameplay. More information should be coming soon.
