Anime Milwaukee is one of the largest anime conventions in the Midwest region of the United States and attracts thousands of anime fans from all over the country. The event features various activities and events, including cosplay contests, panel discussions, workshops, live performances, and more. But that thousand finally hit record high, 10,000 attendees!

The con put itself on the map, appearing on the news WISN Channel 12 News on ABC. They are usually on the news, but it was a bit different this time. Anime Milwaukee hit a record high with their attendance, which only means more support for the great anime conventions of the Midwest Region!

Before we continue, let us give you some info on Anime Milwaukee, also known as AMKE. Amke has a cosplay competition and panel discussions where industry professionals and fans alike share their thoughts and opinions on various topics related to anime and pop culture. They have workshops and classes where attendees can learn new skills and techniques related to cosplay, drawing, and more. Whether you're an experienced cosplayer or just looking to try something new, there's something for everyone at Anime Milwaukee. Yes, live performances and concerts are also a big part of Anime Milwaukee. From traditional Japanese drumming to high-energy dance routines, the musical acts at the convention are always a hit with attendees.

But the BIG talk on social media was the diversity that the convention showed. Many unofficial social media pages, like Facebook groups or Discord, discussed many more POC representations, and many anime conventions have not reached or touched that subject. But that was something that many were proud of this year, that Amke gave that oppotinurity and shared what it feels like to be safe and surrounded by fantastic staff members that understand the push for better greatness.
