Good News - You Can Actually Watch The Tatami Galaxy
Have you seen The Tatami Galaxy? If you answered no, you're not alone. Despite being a well-regarded indie classic that many people list among the best anime of all time, The Tatami Galaxy has been just about impossible to watch - until now.

The series was produced by Madhouse, and was based on a novel by Tomihiko Morimi. It follows a college student who has been led astray by a combination of his manipulative friend Ozu and his own disastrous predilections, who gets a chance to redo his college life. With its trippy art and philosophical approach to life, it's a series that leaves an impression...but only on those who actually have access to it. Up until recently, the show couldn't be found anywhere. Originally, it was shown both on Crunchyroll and Funimation, then moved to Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll eventually lost the license to the series, which meant that it was available nowhere. The series is now available on the Funimation website, which means that hopeful viewers with a Funimation subscription can finally experience the show. But what if you don't want to subscribe to Funimation? A person can only handle so many streaming subscriptions at once, after all. If a Funimation subscription isn't at the top of your list of financial priorities, never fear - the company will be selling Blu-Rays and DVDs beginning in September 2019.
