EA Play 2019 Recap
EA Play has unofficially begun the E3 2019 news train with a significant information drop on a lot of their games. From their sports titles to their online first-person shooters, EA games are bringing all new content as well as new features and new systems to make the player experience more fun!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
EA Play 2019 shot out of a cannon with their gameplay reveal of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The gameplay demo gave us a look at the new Jedi Cal and his companion BD-1. The two characters travel together as if they were Banjo and Kazooie. BD-1 assists Cal in opening doors and popping health packs for the young Jedi, while Cal handles most the heavy lifting.
The demo opens with a scouting party peering onto an Empire base. Cal joins the briefing and is instructed by none other than Saw Gerrera to infiltrate the base and provide cover for the Resistance. Cal’s abilities are not new to him in the gameplay that was showcased. He can Force pull, push, grab, and even slow his opponents. His combat abilities seem to have been developed already in the story.

As a trained Jedi, Cal is not even remotely challenged by the average Stormtrooper, so the Empire has created new enemies for the Jedi to face. The Fallen Order demo gave us a look at some of the Inquisitors that Cal will have to stop.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14th.

Apex Legends Season 2
The new battle royale giant was at EA Play 2019 with some updates. Apex Legends will enter their Season 2 on July 2nd, and Respawn is calling it, Battle Charged. A new season for Apex means, another legend, a new weapon, and a “new way to play.”
Our new Legend is named Wattson, an electrical engineer whose father built the battleground. She is well versed in building gated traps for her opponents and can craft an Interceptor Pylon to rain destruction on those who come within range. As Wattson gets closer to the center of the field, her abilities will charge up faster, so the longer she can stay alive, the deadlier she will become.
A brand new weapon will be entering the Apex Legends arena, and the developers have already deemed it “OP.” The new L-Star full auto plasma rifle is a weapon that can mow down the competition with its fast fire rate and high damage. Because of its strength, it can only be collected from a care package during a match.
Also coming to Apex Legends in Season 2 is the game’s Ranked mode. Players will opt in the ranked mode to play on a more competitive landscape. Respawn already admitted that as you gain a higher rank, you will have to expect longer matchmaking times since their goal is to find the best possible match.
Apex Legends Season 2 will launch on July 2nd.

FIFA 20
For the millions of fans of Soccer, FIFA 20 is bringing a bunch of new updates to the franchise. Volta Football is making an appearance in FIFA with players being able to play soccer on the streets. Wall bounces and other stylish street tricks will all be included in the Volta mode so expect to be blown away at the abilities of these athletes.
Also coming to FIFA 20 is updated soccer ball physics. During the show, EA spoke about “Football Intelligence.” With this new technology, the game will learn how the ball reacts to player movements and decisions as well as how the ball will interact with an object that is not controlled by the player. EA is looking to create the most realistic soccer experience through their “Football Intelligence.”
Of course, with a new FIFA game comes character creation. Players can craft Male and Female avatars to take part in the action. Both will be able to play against one another and will take full advantage of all game modes in FIFA 20.
FIFA 20 comes to you on September 27th, but EA Access members can start to play on September 19th.

Madden 20
Madden 20 is also looking to bring players into the stadium with a realistic Career Campaign called “Face of the Franchise.” Follow your created character through their career in football and play the game just as you would if you were in the big leagues.
Another new game mechanic that EA is putting into Madden 20 is X-Factor. This feature will add new abilities to a player character such as running back assistance, undroppable catching, and close teammate relationships that can make everyone on the field better players. We have only seen a glimpse of the possibilities of X-Factor, so we will have to wait for the full game for more.
Madden 20 releases on August 2nd, but pre-order now to start playing on July 30th.

The Sims 4: Island Living
The next Sims expansion is upon us, and this time, our Sims can relax. The Sims 4: Island Living takes place on, you guessed it, an island. The Sims can vacation or work while they enjoy the sun and full access to the open water.
Players can have their Sims enjoying water sports such as snorkeling, diving, and even ride on a personal watercraft. There will be ongoing events in the game like bonfires and parties that our Sims can enjoy. Players can also expect there to be island spirits and mermaids to interact with based on what players do.
To remind everyone that The Sims is an extension of themselves, EA will be putting out Pride content to Sims 4. They have partnered with It Gets Better, to bring players new clothes and items to promote the pride of all players. Pride content will come to The Sims 4 on PC on June 18th, with consoles to receive it in July.
The Sims 4 Island Living is coming to PC on June 21st and to consoles on July 16th.
EA Play 2019 is just the beginning of our coverage of E3 2019, so expect more information to come soon. Stay tuned to Senpai Project!
