Author Kei Sanbe "ERASED" Launches 13-kai Me no Ashiato Manga

The manga is set in the year 2018 in Chiba Prefecture, and it revolves on elementary school teacher Tya Togawa. Togawa finds a postcard that appears to predict a dreadful catastrophe that would happen the next day.

Otogi no Hako no Reto, a new manga by Sanbe, will debut in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine on March 25.

Sanbe serialized ERASED (Boku dake ga Inai Machi) from 2012 to March 2016, and from June to November 2016, he published a spinoff manga. The manga was a finalist for the 2017 Seiun comic prize as well as the 2014 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize "Reader Award" and the 2015 Manga Taisho Awards. The manga was published in English by Yen Press.

In January 2016, the anime adaptation of the series premiered, which was licensed by Aniplex of America. The series was streamed by Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Funimation while it aired in Japan. Additionally, a live-action film based on the manga was released in Japan in March 2016, and a Japanese live-action series adaptation was produced by Netflix, which premiered in December 2017.

The For the Kid I Saw in My Dreams (Yume de Mita: Anoko no Tame ni) manga, created by Sanbe, was first published in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine in July 2017 and concluded in July 2022. Yen Press is currently publishing the manga in English. Moreover, Sanbe's Island in a Puddle (Mizutamari ni Ukabu Shima) manga was initially serialized in Kodansha's Evening magazine in November 2019, and it concluded in September 2021. Kodansha USA Publishing has released the manga in English.
