5 Fighting Game DLC Characters We'll Probably Never See

We currently live in a time where Final Fantasy XV's Noctis is the latest fighter to enter Tekken's King of Iron Fist Tournament, the Ninja Turtles will be doing battle against the DC Universe, and the X-Men are still yet to be seen in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. While fresh ideas can breathe new life into a fighting game franchise, here are 5 ideas that might be thinking too outside the box.
1. Link (Legend of Zelda)

Link was exclusively on the GameCube version of Soul Calibur II, but Namco should give Hyrule's hero a chance against the current Tekken universe. Offering fans the opportunity to play as the Master Sword-wielding hero could even open up the possibility of Ganondorf teaming with the Mishima family (but let's be real, Ganon may just aid Akuma in trying to destroy them).
2. Raiden (Metal Gear Solid)

Metal Gear Solid 2 introduced us to Raiden, who would go on to be the protagonist in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Raiden's ninja-like speed and fighting style could certainly hang with the likes of anyone in the Marvel Universe. Could you imagine if "Marvel vs. Konami" become a reality?
3. "Talking" Pikachu (Pokémon)

(***SPOILER ALERT***)
A touching moment in the Pokémon: I Choose You! movie has divided audiences. For the first time, Pikachu speaks to Ash like a human to express how much he cares for his trainer. Why not capitalize on this and turn Talking Pikachu into its own character? Give him phrases like "Take this!" and "I'll defeat you!" while he does battle. Best case scenario, Talking Pikachu becomes a new phenomenon for the Pokémon franchise. Worst case scenario...well, remember Roll from the Mega Man Legends series?
4. Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty)

Imagine the fighter loading screen of Injustice 2. On one side, you have the fearsome Darkseid. On the other, you suddenly hear "You're gonna get Riggity Riggity WRECKED!" With all his gadgets and inventions, Rick would be the perfect way to shake up the Injustice 2 series. Although rather than fight, Rick would probably create a robot to do his bidding. ("What is my purpose?"
"I created you to kick Superman's ass!")
5. Terry Crews (As His Old Spice Commercial Persona)

He may not be Doomfist in Overwatch, but Terry Crews' character in the Old Spice commercials would be a force to reckon with in the Street Fighter franchise. Who needs a Hadouken when you have "ODER BLOCKING POWERRRRRR"? Crews may end up being the toughest challenger yet, considering the abilities we've seen in his commercials - stretching his arms, walking on water, and a variety of unexplained explosions that seem to be triggered by his voice.
Who else would you like to see enter the fighting game universe?
